Concept

This series embodies self-sustaining solace where organisms are living within its own tiny ecosystem. While it may seem isolating, it breathes its own life, harmony and vigor.

Taking inspiration from the art of bonsai that represent patience and balance combining it with the idea of terrariums, that could change through the seasons, I created an ornamental that magnify on the expansive beauty of nature and human experience.

Animation

In this animation, it shows the slow transition of pines blooming cherry blossoms.

I wanted to explore a more mesmerizing movement where the tree would somewhat turn left to right and back. I made it in 2.5D so I wouldn’t be able to fully make a smooth turn but made it work by the slow sway.

This was in technicality quite a lot for my machine and a little too much time to layer and clean up. But it was quite fun to get to the finish line.
