Hello! I’m Nowy Aratan, a Motion Designer, Director, and Ambient Artist from the Philippines, working globally between Sydney and Manila.
I craft beautifully composed frames, melancholic animation, and story-driven motion design that blend art direction, design, and emotion.
My work explores the balance between concept and feeling — creating motion pieces that move both visually and emotionally.

My Story
I hold a Bachelor’s in Multimedia Arts (Graphic Design) from Mapúa University, Manila, Philippines. My career began in 2013 at Flux Design Labs Inc. as an editorial designer, gradually expanding into style framing, animation, and team leadership, eventually becoming director when the studio rebranded as rezonate.
In 2021, I transitioned to full-time freelance motion design, collaborating with studios, agencies, production houses, and brands locally and internationally. My clients include SUMO Restaurants (Norway), Blocto, San Miguel Beer, Jollibee, Hausland Holdings Inc., GCash, and artists like Leanne & Naara and Urphme.
In 2025, I relocated to Sydney, Australia, where I continue to work independently, pursuing motion design projects that blend art direction, cinematic animation, and storytelling.
My portfolio reflects the union of beautifully composed frames, melancholic animation, and heartfelt storytelling, showcasing a craft rooted in both technical skill and emotional depth.
Beyond the Work
Outside client projects, I live a slower, more intentional life, making sense of the world through creative pursuit and quiet expression.
