Love and Resistance
The Pride March is not merely a celebration of our community— it is a protest. It is a time to push back against the silencing, the discrediting, and the invalidation of our humanity, especially in the laws of our country. It is a place to express dissent against injustice and oppression; a chance for us to uphold our human rights and the rights of other minorities. It is a place to come together, empower each other, educate each other.
Concept Sketches
The initial concepts for the key visual was to put together the idea of love and resistance as a strong and solid symbol that could stand alone and be flexible to use across different collaterals and designs. This emphasises that even though we are ultimately united by love and passion, our resistance to fight intolerance is just as important.
Collaterals
Collaterals
As the Co-Head of the Communications and Campaigns Committee, I brought to life the visual of “Love + Resistance”. I have developed the iconography and typography design of the campaign and cascaded them to my team to implement in various collaterals from digital social media collaterals, to print, merchandise, and event installations.

One of the assets I also made for the event was an animated teaser and looping video display. I took advantage of the bold typography and adding grit to its movement.
Post Event
The event was ultimately a huge and successful turnout with at least 77,000 attendees compared to 25,000 attendees the year before.
