D5 OUTLIFE Episode 5: The Gay Pastor
The series tackles eight different LGBT issues which are assigned to different animators and designers. In this episode, I worked on most of the design, layout, and illustrations while Eg and I split parts in the animation. I was mostly doing transitional scenes and character extras while he focused on animating the main character which I will later composite in the complete scene.

For these jittery texts, I created individual cel animation textures which are specifically made for each word.
The transition-ins of the texts on this part are also cel animated. Except the transition-outs and jitter, which are mostly layers of AE presets.

Something I took the time doing on this project is establishing the color script. I wanted to show how the colors are affected by the progression of the story and the character development that transitions from cool to warm backgrounds and colors.
